How long will the process take? |
| |
Generally, NWF will have an initial calculation within three weeks or less once all pertinent documents have been submitted. However, once you have given permission to file with the Deepwater Horizon Claims Center (DHCC), the time period varies. By law the DHCC has 90 days to respond, though we have had claims paid in as little as 20 days. |

What does it cost to find out how much my claim should be? |
| |
There is NEVER a fee to find out whether your business qualifies for a claim. The only time that your business would be charged a fee is if you have us file on your behalf and we are able to collect for you. |

Is there a fee? |
| |
Yes. However, we are not paid unles you are paid. If you are not compensated for your losses then you owe us nothing for our efforts. If, conversely, we are successful in collecting you will owe only 20% of the claim amount. |

Is it too late to file? |
| |
NO. Many business owners think that they have missed the period in which they could file a claim. This is due to the plethora of misinformation surrounding the process. Let the professionals at NWF help you determine the amount your business qualifies for at no charge to you. |

I live in the midwest but I have a business on the Gulf Coast, do I potentially have a claim? |
| |
Yes, you may have a claim. We have helped people in Missouri, Michigan and other areas because they own businesses along the Gulf Coast and we were able to prove that they suffered a loss of business due to the BP Spill. |
